What if I am applying to multiple positions at one organization or program - do I write separate applications for each opportunity?

Often, organizations and programs list multiple positions. One example of this is our Dartmouth Works program - students can specify up to three positions of interest when they apply to the general program.

In most cases, you can apply for multiple opportunities in the same cover letter. If you do so, we recommend that you do the following:
  1. Specify why you are interested in the organization(s)
  2. State each position of interest and include a concrete example of how the opportunity aligns with your interests, skills, and past experience.
If you'd like more assistance with your application, a CPD Career Advisor or Peer Ambassador would be happy to meet with you for an individual appointment. Visit our website to learn about hours and how to set up appointments: https://sites.dartmouth.edu/cpd/location-hours-appointments/
